Watch the Everyday Sexism TED talk from Laura Bates (linked above) and answer the following questions: 1) Why did Laura Bates start the Everyday Sexism project? People kept saying that people are more or less equal and that women shouldn't make a fuss but Laura Bates saw that this was not true and that she should make a fuss. 1) Why is representation an important concept in Media Studies? Representations are always seen from either yours or someone else's  point of view. 1) What is regulation and why do media industries need to be regulated? Regulation is a rule or directive made by an authority figure and media industries need to be regulated in order to ensure that organisations act fairly 2) What is OFCOM responsible for?
